The Lady 'Fall'
Motley, crimped leaves upon the ground
(c) 2014 w. salley
Brown, orange, yellow, swept in a mound.
Shadows getting longer by the day
All tell-tale signs: fall's on the way.
She comes with brushes in her hand.
Her pallet, canvas, and easel stand.
An artist, she paints the landscapes true
With beauty, perspective, and endless hue.
From California to Delaware,
Her motifs are seen everywhere.
A grand halo in New England states
Her stunning compositions are ornate.
So, cheers to fall as we open our hearts
To enjoy the beauty that she imparts.
