A Quiet Dawning

The early dawn silently creeps
Stretching her wings far and wide.
Her presence is felt.
Her light illumines.
Yet her voice is silent.
Then suddenly
She lends that golden voice
To the morning chorus of
Murmuring sea, singing birds
Chattering brooks, chiming dew--
wowing the heart of grateful men
Who value the essence
Of a new day.
