Dear Texas
We’ve heard your cry, seen your tears

And felt your deeply gripping fears.
We sense your pain and your loss,
Which comes at such an immense cost.
But there are countless angels there
That serve amongst you unawares.
And there are heroes—not a few—
Whose hearts are filled with heaven’s dew.
Oh, let the mocking bird yet sing
While nursing now a broken wing.
And to her faith forever cling—
Tho’ fate has dealt a treacherous sting.
Oh, Texas, you can make it through.
We send these bluebonnets for you.
