Yesterday

Yesterday’s thoughts are today’s actions.
Yesterday’s hopes and agendas
Are today’s goals and pursuits.

Yesterday’s victory is a stepping stone
By which to catapult through tomorrow,
And its troubles are but a fleeting phase
With thorns that cease to prick.

To live in the past is to be stuck in time.
So, learn from yesterday;
Look upon it as a lesson—not a guide.
‘Tho the seasons change with its passing,
All things found in its corridors—
For better or worse—is fixed.

Moreover, yesterday—which is gone—
Was once the future and then the present.
But now, it is forever only yesterday, the past.

“Forgetting those things which are behind, and
reaching forth unto those things which are before.” Philippians 4:13
