Circle of Blessings

To open one’s eyes is a blessing
For daily life is no guarantee
Another chance at life is divine
To breathe to exist and to see.
To be without pain is a favor
To be free of disability
And to enjoy all of the senses
That are given to you and me.
There’s nothing like existence
Enjoying showers of blessings
Grateful for the wondrous gifts
And for the act of expressing.
So may we cycle the blessings
As eyes and feet for others
To do and give that we can
For human sisters and brothers.
