My Savior and I

I’ll choose a beautiful day in spring
When all the birds sweet music ring
Alone we’ll be in a great big valley
Nowhere else that day will I tarry.
A beautiful valley with quaint green grass;
Immutable scenery--forever to last.
My Savior and I, together we’ll be
In that great big valley, magnificent to see.
And I the poet cite verses of Him,
Lifting His name in each of them.
To Him be praise for blessings to be--
My Savior, the Lily of the valley.
