A Leafy Metaphor

Leaves are such a vivid picture of life
From its budding to the withering.
Like life, leaves also have a winter,
When its time begins to wound down.

Breaking forth, buds in the fresh, tender stage.
The leaf grows and finds its purpose in life
It finds its purpose for which it is designed.

The leaf provides air, and medicine.
A specimen, it‘s studied for specified knowledge.

Then growing weak and feeble, it disconnects
And winnows to the ground, where it soon dies.
And natures buries its own. And the leaf is recycled.
