Grateful for the Older Hands

I’m thankful for the older hands
In many a way
More grateful than my soul can tell
Or my pen can say
More precious than a crystal vase
‘Pon the shelf of life
They are a sturdy foundation
Giving joy in rife
They do linger for a reason
That’s not always plain
So elated they’re yet with us
As God would ordain.
