The Gift of an Artist

Artists are like magicians
That cause things to appear.
And if they do not like it,
Simply make it disappear.

He has a unique gifting -
An endowment from above.
So magical his canvas
And the brushes of his trove.

He keeps the eye beholding
With each stroke and every flair -
To wonder where he's going
As one's guess is in the air

As he blends all the colors
When applying his techniques,
Lifting themes from the canvas.
Fascinating and unique.

He's an eye of perception
And a skillful hand as well.
But how all of this is done?
E'en the artist cannot tell.
