Last Night

I watched with the angels last night,
Beseeching God's help from above.
Be with us in this epic fight.
Protect us with your divine love.

I sang a sweet chorus last night
To comfort and quiet my soul.
I know the angels sung with me
And watched as I'd rest in God's fold.

So sweet His continued presence
That I worried not, nor did fear
I knew that the Lord was with me
He is with me everywhere.

Oh, my soul, take heart; don't fear
For my God is everywhere.
