Leaving 2020 Behind

Let 2021 be the rising
Of a new and hope-filled dawn.
And like a welcomed shower
'Pon grass that's freshly mown.

Rightly embrace the future
With courage and with grace -
Doubtlessly proceeding
At a firmly-staunch pace.

And, so, without wavering,
Let nothing seize the mind,
But "shake off" twenty-twenty
As 'dust' that's left behind.
