Time and Eternity

Time is like a shooting star,
Zooming through the ether far.
And is like a meteorite
With its brilliant trail of light
That for one lasting moment -
Be it in joy or in lament -
Ever lingers in the wake,
Tho earth may rejoice, or quake.
