Our Friend the Tree

The tree is given glory -
An aura in disguise -
Reflecting the Creator,
Its Maker, who's all-wise.

The tree is beneficial
Right here upon the Earth;
Whereas, to our human need,
Stupendous is its worth.

While it provides nutrition
To feed us everyone,
The umbrella of its crown
Protects us from the sun,

Betimes spun into capsules
And other forms of pills -
The tree contains substances
That's good for many ills.

The tree is home to squirrels,
Fowls, snakes, and other things.
And it proves a 'lifetime' friend
For the comfort it brings.

In all the Earth, its beauty
Towers against the sky,
As if shouting from a perch -
A mighty tree am I.
