Ode to a Toad

There was a toad that had two heads
But he didn't let that slow him down.
He could have stayed at home in bed;
Instead, he hoped all over town.

The town folks were surprised to know
That he could even climb a tree.
He was nothing of the mundane,
'Fact, he was extraordinary.

Poor toad, hopped one step at a time.
There was no 'zooming' like a bird,
But his "two heads," he lugged around;
The town folks gave him a good word.

Quite inspirational he was
To others who were sad and down
That if he could conquer his ills,
They, too, could swim and not drown.

End Note: Life is filled with challenges; nonetheless, every victory is sweet.
