Hiccups Do Not Last

Among the things disliked is...
The feeling of 'mocking time;'
Mostly when there's 'much' to do.
It, almost, seems a crime.

I guess it's a bit far-fetched
Though one falls far behind.
But it's hard playing 'catch up,'
When you are in a 'bind.'

Somehow, it's beyond control -
Being trumped by space and time:
One can neither 'gee' nor 'haw.'
Tho' matters be so prime.

Whether social distancing
Lockdown or quarantine.
Or less dramatic events
That might be unforeseen.

Remember 'DAY follows night!'
With time, these things shall pass.
For "joy comes in the morning."
And "hiccups do not last."
