Closing the Christmas Arena

Goodbye fair Christmas.
Be near us Hosanna,
As we, now, must close
This gallant arena
With resounding pomp
And circumstance
And ardent worship
To give "'22" a chance
To come unto us
At "21's" ending
With "leases" on life
For a new beginning.

NOTE: In line 8 of this poem, I've used '22 in referring to the year 2022 (the New Year). Likewise, in line 10, I've used '21 in referring to the year 2021 (last year).
