Don't Quit

Friend, don't ever give in:
Never - EVER - give up.
It's not in your best interest;
You do not have a choice.

Just do the 'best' you can.
Tho' doing the best you could
May not be quite perfect,
But it's better understood.

One can live with himself,
Knowing he's done his best.
And perchance your best fails,
Pursue tomorrow's quest.

"Long as there's life, there's hope:"
An old cliche, but true.
Only be true to 'thyself'
In giving the best of you.

And what more can one ask?
For you've become a star,
When - doubtless - you have given
The best of who you are.
