The State of Our World

Although we try to shun it,
It always comes down to…
The fact that love's the answer;
Love is the "golden" rule.

Death does not invigorate
War graces no table.
Hatred, crime, and prejudice
Makes our world unstable.

Rape doesn't foster purity.
Murder won't buy a home.
Riots don't sign paychecks.
And greed's become the norm.

The world is out of control,
And it needs a helping hand.
But war is not the answer…
War's repulsive unto man.

But love is the only thing
That can bring true release.
And if spread all o'er the world,
Love, truly, will foster peace.
