A Song in the Heart

Start each day
With a song in the heart.
It will lift your spirits
And joy impart.

Whatever the task,
Whatever the goal,
A song in the heart
Would soothe the soul.

Hum in the morning
And at noon
With the joy of the Lord
In each tune.

Let the echoing of
Its melody chime
The sweetest 'mongst
All heavenly rhyme.

Despite life's troubles,
As you go along,
Remember God
In the words of a song.
