A Lover's Valentine

Love birds entwined in tender hugs
Casting afar their dreamy gaze.
Many a beautiful love song,
Savoring hearty serenade.

They flaunt and flirt, and romp about,
Donning colors so bright and fair
Of yellow, blue, red, pink and green.
The certainty of debonair.

So tender, beauteous and fair,
While rapture in each other's arms.
All satisfied in their embrace,
Upon the 'lovers' roost' is calm.

They perch among the elm branches -
The robins, sparrows and the doves.
And whisper to their valentine
The soft and sweetest words of love.
