That's What Lovers Do

Valentines are having fun
But, then, that's what lovers do.
Reminds of a childhood game
One called "Loo… Skip to My Loo."

Laughing and making merry:
Everything beneath the sun.
As he calls her his "sugar,"
She calls him her 'bae; her 'hon.'

Laughter, teasing, looks, smiles.
Solemn glances. Giddy moments.
Letters, flowers, notes, and songs.
Whispers, gestures, secret hints.

Pardon me sweet Valentines,
Embossing your classy scene -
Continue with your frolicing,
Allowing nought to intervene.
