Ode to Christmas Flowers

Lovely the poinsettias
The yellow green and white
Brightening the scenic nook
Adorning then the site.

There to boost the Season,
A unique Christmas trend
Is the red holly berry
That for ages now has been.

And the chrysanthemum
Never fails to tower
In its traditional status
As a Christmas flower.

The winter rose is beautiful
Although it seems quite new.
But roses are forever
Universal in their view.

Who can forget the mistletoe,
The legacy that it holds
In the history of Christmas.
Ahh… the tales that are told.

A perfect note on which to end
This ode to Christmas flowers,
Giving credence to the phrase:
The might of flower power.
